Trendy and elegant, fresh boxwood wreaths have been growing in popularity for years. While doing best outdoors, boxwood is known for its staying ability indoors. Unlike other greenery they do not drop their needles or leaves as they dry. In fact, their dry state is just as beautiful albeit not as lush as their fresh state. In the sun, these wreaths will eventually dry to a gorgeous golden blonde. In the shade or indoors they turn a paler green. Some customers have left these wreaths on their doors for at least a year before replacing. They are very versatile. These wreaths are wonderful on their own but they can easily become a more complex wreath by adding a bow as shown below, seedpods, grass-heads, leaves, berries, etc. from your own local area. These are freshly made with Virginia grown boxwood. Virginia boxwood will last 4-6 weeks in warm weather or 8-10 weeks in colder weather. As the Christmas rush comes upon us, please order early and indicate upon checkout when you would like your wreath shipped. Here are some beautiful examples of incorporating boxwood wreaths into your holiday decor. Visit us at the gathering garden to see our fresh boxwood wreath collection.
